Another late post, been suffering from a 5 months late case of May sickness, lucky me. Actually, I been living a half-OTK life to finish up a couple of series, quite enjoyable.
Well, here is a very brief impression of new anime that came out in the last 2 weeks. I did not watch all of them obviously since some of them don’t have enough visual attraction to me.
Newtype October Issue 2007
Over half a month late, what was I thinking? Here it is at last, and from this issue on, I’ll be using a new scanning method which allows me to produce much higher quality scans at a reasonable compression for most people at a cost of a missing part in the middle (not much) of a double pages scan, which a good trade off I believe. This issue again talks about Rebuild Of Evangelion and a couple of new shows. Rebuild Of Evangelion has been mentioned many times before and as for new shows, it’s best that you watch them instead of reading columns of kanji (not really) for descriptions, I would still provide a short description where needed. No more Gundam 00 scans from me, at least not for this issue, watching Gurren-Lagann made me lose a fair amount of interest in Gundam, it’s just doesn’t seem to be as amazing, beside, there isn’t much new interesting info in this issue anyway, I might change my mind after watching the first episode this weekend though. This overview gonna be short.
Tengen Toppa Gurren-Lagann final episode 27. The first anime to finish at episode 27 I think, and without a doubt, it marked a new benchmark for a mecha show. This episode, the Tengen Toppa Gurren-Lagann, a galaxy-size mecha, broke the record as being the biggest mecha ever in anime history. The battle is at its super massive universe wide ever, with explosion equivalent to that of a Big Bang. I don’t think it can get any more massive than this for a final episode.
